Glass Castle Production / Sprint Blog 6
Glass Castle Development Progress (Sprint 6):
During this sprint, I was tasked to do some modifications to all structures I have created for Worlds 1 and 2. From what I heard near the end of the last sprint is that there were performance issues affecting the game, and that had to do with all the structures being exported to unity in separate pieces within an FBX. So, my tasks were to merge each building's pieces into one mesh, then make LODs for each structure (one-level LODs), and finally export them each and send them to the drive.
However, the structures were not the only things that needed LODs, all props needed LODs. that was my second focus during this sprint. Any props that are in multiple pieces will follow the same process as the world one and two structures. There will be 2 levels of LODs for the props. The final focus was making low poly foundations for the World One buildings due to the terrain layout not being completely optimized for the structures. However, an issue has happened in the process of this focus.

Issues Encountered:
- One main issue that happened during this sprint was having my access to adobe taken away this happened on the 15 of November which was right as I was going to be tasked to texture the foundations I created. With this, I was to hold back and delay texturing until I got my access back from ITSS which was given later at in the late evening on the 16th.
- The last thing was just concerning the foundation look and how it was going to be placed in the unity scene since I have no access to the Unity Project. I had a discussion with the designer about if the vision of how I am going with these foundations is to her liking. once we came to an understanding, I continued with the suggestions given to me.
